HoHo Buses in Istanbul 21/09/13

There seem to be several hoho buses with various feedback scores

I thought I'd found one and to make sure I enquired whether they pick up at the port and whether I could get on and off anywhere.

The answer I just got is in Italian and I think it says they do NOT pick up at the port and you can only get off at Taksim squ. - Anybody got any information on what I am looking for .

In some cities I love HOHO buses as I feel it is a great way to get an oversight of a city in the limited time available on a day in the port.

However, the traffic is such in Istanbul that I feel you would be much better using a combination of the tram and walking.

There have been many previous threads on how simple it is to use the tram - and you can catch one in the street just outside the port area.

You will get a lot more feedback on your question if you post this on the Other Mediterranean Ports Of Call Board which is for ports such as those in Turkey.

It is much better to use the tram.
