jeanlyon Posted August 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2013 Anybody know if you can both watch TV at the same time in a cabin where the beds are L-shaped?:D
JakTar Posted August 30, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2013 We had such a cabin on the Black Watch. The answer is - Yes, but either you'll have to cuddle up on the bed that's better for viewing the TV or set a chair next to it.
soccerref Posted August 31, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2013 We've been in 2 L shaped cabins on Balmoral and, yes, you can both watch the TV from your own individual bed. I had to re-arrange my pillows to the opposite end of my bed but then it was fine.
jeanlyon Posted September 7, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted September 7, 2013 OK thanks - wonder why they don't make them available in queen or two singles. Very odd. No matter :-)
ovccruiser Posted September 7, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 7, 2013 OK thanks - wonder why they don't make them available in queen or two singles. Very odd. No matter :-) Because one of them is fixed against the wall so cannot be moved. I believe you can have them made as one double, but someone will have to climb over if they want to get out during the night :D
jeanlyon Posted September 8, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted September 8, 2013 Well that wouldn't bother me, but we weren't offered that option. Will wait and see when we get on board I think.
bobby67 Posted September 10, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 10, 2013 Normally you are asked if you would like L-shaped , twin or double. The reason for L-shaped is it gives more room in the cabin. Ring Fred and explain what you would liike. We find it fine. Enjoy your cruise. Carolyn and Bobby67:)
capnpugwash Posted September 21, 2013 #8 Share Posted September 21, 2013 Because one of them is fixed against the wall so cannot be moved. I believe you can have them made as one double, but someone will have to climb over if they want to get out during the night :D I enquired of FO through a travel agent about re-configuring the L beds and was told that it wasn't possible. This prompted a quick re-evaluation and spending a not insignificant amount to ensure a queen size. It pays to read the small print!! :)
