joeholiday2 Posted March 8, 2014 #26 Share Posted March 8, 2014 When in Cadiz I can recommend the little Church in the same square as the Cathedral, it's lovely inside. The Holy Cave Church is worth a visit too, it has paintings by Goya.
roothy123 Posted April 8, 2014 #27 Share Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) Don't suppose you're a lighthouse lover, but if so, there's a modest one (and a modest beach with a few fishing boats) on one side of Cadiz. I took a bus that went close to it - bus basically made a big circle around the outside of Cadiz. Also don't suppose you're interested in the white villages around Cadiz, but that's another option if you have time. Those are best seen, however, by rental car or ship's or private excursion, as they take some time. However, the bus does go to Arcos de la Frontera, and the train to Ronda, if you're adventuresome. Both are supposed to be worthwhile. If you end up going to the equestrian show, check the hours/days they're open - I think they're closed on Sundays. We loved Cadiz. We had a long day/evening there. We went to Seville on the train, came back to the ship for dinner, and then I went back out into Cadiz after dinner. Great memories.
