bring2521 Posted August 29, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2013 Why no Promos covering Hawaii cruises from Celebrity? Anyone know?
ariawoman Posted August 29, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 29, 2013 My guess is some itineraries need no help in filling up the ship, therefore the promo isn't necessary. It's all about filling cabins, not about giving the consumer perks.
Rare ghstudio Posted August 29, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2013 Also conspicuously missing are Asia, Australia, South America/Antarctic as well as trans altlantic/pacific cruises. As the previous poster said, these cruises sell out without the need for additional perks. The "problem" areas for cruise lines are Europe, the caribbean and Alaska where they have significant competition and lots of berths to fill. Australia was offered under one of the earlier 123Go programs. Since that time the cruise price has gone up and the ship seems to be selling well. Glad I grabbed a cabin with the promo when it applied. And yes, why would X offer additional incentive to routes already selling well?
Honeybearhollow Posted August 30, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 30, 2013 Some of the Hawaii cruises are actually transpacific. Transatlantic and transpacific seem not to be included in promos. I think they are cheaper for the number of days. Of course, you still have to fly home so they are probably not cheaper in the long run for the passenger. joanne2 Posted August 30, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 30, 2013 Trans-Atlantics were included in the 123 promo at the beginning of the year. I think that was the first 123. You got 1 of the offers.
