Nassau straw market, straw purses - names?

Many years ago the straw market would have ladies selling straw purses which could be personalized with a name. Then it went to all the knock offs and I haven't been back. I understand the knock offs have been banned and they are back to selling straw purses, do they still put names on them? And if so, any idea of how much they cost? (after haggling) I was thinking they would make some cute Christmas gifts for the family that never travels.

Some vendors sell them on the street, too. They range in price depending on the size of the bag and will personalize them while you wait. We had some made for our granddaughters earlier this year. They were small and I think they were around $10 though I'm not 100% sure of the price.

Make sure you check out the lady's handiwork who stitches the names.

Some are good and some are terrible. Yes, 10 dollars is right.
