Ricks Cafe from Ocho Rios

We are docked in Ocho Rios for our April cruise on Dream. Has anyone taken a tour or taxi from Ocho Rios to Ricks Café? I think it's a haul, but having been to Ocho Rios several times, I prefer to get away from the area and had a great time at Ricks on a land vacation about a dozen years ago. I hope someone can offer input!

Your a long ways from Rick's...will take you at least 2 hours from Ocho Rios to Montego Bay and then between 1 hr to 1 1/2 hour from Montego Bay to Negril so plan on about 3 1/2 hours to get to Rick's. Not sure how long your in port for but not worth your while in my opinion.

No way, not on a cruise, unless you would drive to MoBay, hop on a helicopter to the Negril airport and then take a cab to Ricks, then reverse all in the time your ship is there. You "might" be able to hire someone who drives really fast to get you there, but you wouldn't be able to spend any time there.
