Did anyone on this message board decide to rent a car in Honolulu and drive around? From what I understand, you must pick up and return the car at the airport. We have no desire to drive in the dark so would be returning by 7pm. Is it worthwhile to consider this? I’m not sure what sightseeing spots are close by and driving distances….would love to hear some first hand experiences with this.

We are booked on the snorkel excursion next year with Christophe as well. That was my main concern with booking the morning tour….getting off the tender in time. Hopefully, we’ll be on one of the first tenders since most passengers are unlikely to have a booking to get to. Looking forward to meeting you next year. On a side note, I’ve noticed that lobster, escargot, and prime rib have showed up in the Lido Buffet a few times on your cruise. Do they post a menu beforehand? Sounds like a better option than dressing up for the MDR.

Was this with Fakarava Excursions? Trying to book for next year but the response time is a bit slow. How was it getting off on the tenders in the morning….a bit worried that we won’t be able to get off in time for an 8:30am excursion.

@BermudaBound2014 we are booked next year on the “Tahiti Lagoon Discovery”. Is that the same one as the one you were on? What was wrong with it? Can you elaborate?

Which HAL tour did you do that was disappointing? We are booked for the Tahiti Lagoon Discovery next year. We’re also doing the Coral Garden Drift Snorkel in Raiatea….super excited about that one.

We booked all our excursions for the South Pacific and just a couple so far for Hawaii. I’m really finding the Hawaii tours to be over priced and not really anything that catches my eye. We’re thinking of perhaps renting a car in Honolulu and doing some sightseeing.

We are on the 2025 sailing. All the shore excursions have been available on the website and app for several months now.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I think we’re going to book the 2025 cruise. We love snorkelling….are there good snorkelling excursions offered? Where could I look for some examples of the shore excursions offered?

I am interested in taking this cruise in 2025 . The ship is the Koningsdam . Has anybody taken this cruise? Would you recommend it?

I read a suggestion in another group to just add it back. Seemed to work…even got a confirmation email.
