The Surprise of an Upgrade

Sailing on QV out of Southampton 24th Oct. We have booked a P1 as a guarantee room (having sailed in Q6 on QM2 previously).Within the last couple of days we have been allocated a cabin (8081) which I'm more than happy with.

 

What are the chances of upgrades from this point on if you have already been given an allocation ? Do Cunard allocate upgrades closer to the day of departure or would this be set in stone now?

p.s. I understand that the whole upgrade thing is pure luck and totally up to the discretion of Cunard (and understandably so!!) and am delighted with our P1 allocation..just might be an added bonus !!:)

I doubt whether you will be allocated another now cabin as your booking was on g'tee basis. However, who knows you may get a wonderful surprise as from here your only way up would be a Q!

QV is a lovely ship and very much looking forward to our November cruise. Make sure you leave her in good order.
