kevinandrenay Posted September 23, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2013 Does RCI have a Players Club like Princess? We have been on both cruise lines many times. With Princess you can call the Players club number prior to the cruise and they will give you a casino credit. As usual it depends on prior play. Does Royal Caribbean do anything like that? Daghis Posted September 23, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2013 Yes, Royal Caribbean has Club Royale. They will give you cash rebates on your next cruise based on your play from your previous cruise. I don't know about table games, but for slot players, in order to be invited into Club Royale, you must earn 2,000 points. ($5 wagered earns 1 point.) #55worktoplay Posted September 28, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 28, 2013 Really - does that mean you have to spend $10,000.00 to get invited to the club? It just seems like allot, could my math be wrong?
Daghis Posted September 28, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 28, 2013 Your math is right, but you need to consider that you'll be gambling your winnings as well, so the $10,000 that is wagered includes lots of recycled money. Unless you lose every single spin, it's not going to be $10,000 out of pocket. Assuming average slot machine payout of 85%, then one would need approximately $1765, playing through all of the winnings, to earn 2,000 points. If one gets lucky, that number could be a lot less. This will be my first cruise on RCCL...actually soon on Freedom. I have a question about loading money to use on the slots. On Carnival slots you create a "code" then load money from your onboard account (either your CC you have down or cash) to the machine. The money you have left after playing, stays attached to that card. Then, at the end of the cruise you can cash out at cage. Is this the same way on RCCL? I don't think there were any fees involved except when cashing out or getting "cash" to play at table games.
Daghis Posted November 11, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 11, 2013 No, Royal Caribbean's slot machines are strictly ticket-or-cash-in/ticket-out (and some coin-out on some older ships; Freedom of the Seas' machines are all TITO - ticket-in/ticket-out). You can insert your SeaPass card into the machine to earn points that could be used to get keychains, t-shirts, and even cash at the end of the cruise. The slot machine doesn't interact with your SeaPass account. If you do want to get money from your SeaPass account, it must be done at the casino cashier. They charge a 5% fee for that service.
