What does "Name Match Researched" mean?

We are booked on Oasis in November. We (parents) have one room, and our boys (15 & 12) have room across from us. We received our Booking Confirmation page from our TA, and underneath my sons name across from special services is says: Name Match Researched. I asked our TA, she was not sure. I called RCI, and they said it had to do with security, but we should not have any problems. Has anyone else had this on their form, or had any experience with this? Thanks.

It's how they denote that adults with a matching last name are immediately across from them. It will stay that way. Basically let's everyone at RC know that parents have been verified as being across the hall.

Okay, great. That sounds simple enough. I wonder why they could not tell me that when I called RCI? Thanks!:)

The RCI people on the phone are not always helpful. They would do better to staff the 800# with volunteers from Cruise Critic....

One thought is that there might be someone on a Terrorist Watch List (like the "do not fly" list at the airport) whose name is identical to someone in your family.

By comparing date of birth and address and what-not, they can determine that while the NAME matches, the ACTUAL PERSON does not.... all is fine for travel.

I seem to recall that Edward Kennedy once had an issue with checking in for a flight b/c there was someone by that name on the Do Not Fly list!
