Local Snacks

Looking for any recommendations for good Bajan (Bajun?) snack food that is available around Bridgetown. We are traveling with my grandparents-in-law, and for dietary limitations we will be eating mainly on the ship. One of my favorite parts of cruises is normally sampling local cuisine, so I am looking for opportunities to do so outside of normal meals. Does anyone know of any good quick bites to look out for?

By all means don't miss getting a Flying Fish Sandwich. They call them "Sliders". Yum! Yum! :)
They're called CUTTERS locally.

Anything in a bun (-a Bajan Salt Bread) becomes a "Cutter"

i.e. cheese cutter, fried-egg cutter, Flyin-Fish cutter, ham cutter, etc.

Only with two fish-cakes does the combo then become "a bread en two!"

Never mind: you have to be local to understand the lingo.
