jerrib Posted October 4, 2013 #26 Share Posted October 4, 2013 I was on the Vision this past January and the game was shown on a huge screen in the main show lounge. They had split the theater in half and had decorated each side for one of the respective teams.

We watched on the Explorer a few years ago. It was lots of fun. The theater was divided in two and decorated in each team"s colors.. They served lots of football food. negc Posted December 27, 2013 #45 Share Posted December 27, 2013 They will set up a superbowl party in theatre and pool deck (meaning hot dogs, chips and salsa - which runs out before the first commercial); oh speaking of commercials - you will NOT see the commercials broadcast!!!!! Nope, nada, not happening. You can also view the superbowl in Viking Crown, the casino bar, On Air and schooner. And in your cabin. There were places we thought we could see it, but it wasn't on. There are many TVs here and there, but they will tell you they don't or can't get it everywhere. Strange, since we saw the Super Bowl complete with the nationally broadcast commercials (not the additional drop-in ads that local stations show) when we were on the Jewel a few years back. Never say never because it is likely that you will be proven wrong as you turn out to be in this situation.
debshomespun Posted December 27, 2013 #46 Share Posted December 27, 2013 We have been sailing for the last several years for the Superbowl game. Each ship has their own style but is all very similar. Like the others have said, lots of football food, many places you can watch the game. This year we will be on the Legend 10 night, and the game is our last sea day (doing a B2B, so we won't have to be packing!!!). Lots of fun. We have not seen any of the commercials on the ships we have been on.
suebcoop Posted December 27, 2013 #47 Share Posted December 27, 2013 I will also be on this Freedom cruise for the Superbowl and since Rodgers is returning this Sunday from his injury I am to believe the Packers will go the rest of the way and not only will be playing in the Superbowl but will win it. Trekker954 Posted December 27, 2013 #49 Share Posted December 27, 2013 We will be sailing on the Freedom for Super bowl. Does anyone know if it can be viewed from the pool side big screen or on in room TV? Anyone sailed on the Super bowl Sunday share their experience please. We were on the Monarch last year and will be on the Liberty this year and have been on the Liberty previous superbowls.. The superbowl is typically show on the pool deck, the Viking Crown and Theater with snacks (but get there quickly as they are practically gone before the game starts). They will also be showing it in most pubs schooner, that English type pub in the promenade; sports thingy next to Studio B. They will not show the Superbowl commercials. boo hoo
