How to purchase the Roma Pass?

Hello: I am wondering what is the best way to purchase the Roma Pass in Rome? Should I purchase it online before leaving home? Or should we just wait until we get there to purchase at a T.I.?

 

If we purchase online in advance, do we obtain some kind of receipt that we print off and then take to a T.I.? I understand that we can only get them there.

You can get them at just about any tobacco shop (tabacchi) and they are on every block.

Also they are usually in stock at almost all of the places where they are accepted (museums, archaeological sites, etc.).
