do you have to get off if doing a one day after 9 day in same room

I was wondering if anyone every added a one day cruise to nowhere after a 7 or 9 day cruise ? If you book the same room do you need to get off the ship and if so do you need to wait to get back on? I am booked in a penthouse I wonder if the concierge will assist with that

It sometimes depends on the port you are embarking at. In Tampa we had to get off around 10:15 and reboarded from the VIP lounge about 11:15. You can tour the city and get back on anytime after the ship begins boarding. Just be sure you know the latest time you can re-board before you get off.
