On this years sector from San Francisco to Sydney, we had great weather all the way.

It should be wonderful. But, don't forget you are at sea, and the sea goes up and down, even when it is wonderful weather!!!!!!! I have done that sector, you will enjoy it.

We sailed from San Francisco to Sydney in Jan 2011 and it was a bit chilly until we were close to Hawaii. From there on it will be quite hot.

 

Bear in mind that this is the cyclone season in the South Pacific but that doesn't mean you will encounter one, but you will most likely experience some very heavy showers. These don't usually last long and it is so hot and humid, getting wet isn't a big deal.

 

We have sailed in the South Pacific many times over Jan and Feb and luckily have never experience bad weather, just the odd heavy shower. We sailed from Southampton to Sydney this year and had 9 days at sea between Valparaiso and Tahiti and the weather was as described above - hot and humid.

 

You will enjoy the cruise just make sure you use plenty of sunscreen :D

On this years sector from San Francisco to Sydney, we had great weather all the way.

 

We were on the same cruise and the weather and sea conditions were good. Not a lot to look at though for quite a lot of seadays. Only saw some flying fish and a turtle although we were told stories of dolphins and whales being seen :(

We went San Diego to Hawaii February this year and the weather was not good, rough seas all the way. They said the weather was some of the worst they had ever had. We were very disappointed as were told it would be better. We even had torrential rain in Honolulu.
