gapearl Posted October 19, 2013 Author #426 Share Posted October 19, 2013 Tonight was our second elegant night at dinner. We were seated at a four top, but without anyone else. This is my biggest gripe about your time dining. If you want a private table, you will love it. I prefer sitting at large tables so I can meet new people and have some good conversation. There were lots of jeans. The Breeze hostess staff really needs to do better here. Our waiters danced to Gangham Style. Roasted half chicken, very good! This could have been a nice picture. Haha Lace, pearls, and red lipstick. So ladylike huh? :-) After dinner, I wandered into the Ovation Theater to watch The Divas Show that had already started. That’s 20 minutes of my life I will never get back. It was REALLY BAD! Like terribly bad! The lead singer wouldn’t make it past the second elimination round on American Idol. If I remember correctly, there were four female and four male singers. They had no cohesive harmony, none at all whatsoever. I didn’t butcher “Sweet Dreams” by The Eurythmics as bad as they did when I sang it at karaoke last month. The set and background was nothing more than a small platform and a screen with projected images. I wouldn’t even compare this to a high school play. It was THAT BAD. This is why I stopped going to the shows on Carnival. When I sailed Royal Caribbean last year, I really enjoyed their production shows. They were top notch and clearly a lot of effort was put into it. Carnival’s production shows and talent need a lot of improvement. Happy to leave, I headed to the Limelight Lounge for the Punchliner comedy shows. I saw the 9:15 pm show of Happy Cole. I’ve seen him at least twice before and he’s always very funny. G joined me for the 10:15 pm show of Will Marfori. This was the first time I’ve seen Will. He has muscular dystrophy and tells you up front, in a joke of course. He was really funny too! I loved these guys much better than the first two comedians earlier in the week. Well you guys all wanted a picture! G and I at the Punchliner. LOL Me ready for some more night life. We headed to Liquid Nightclub for the rest of the night. The Fun Times has tonight as the “Skyy’s The Limit Party,” with an appearance by the production playlist cast. They came in maybe around 12ish, all dressed alike with the girls in these blue gowns and red heels, danced among themselves for 10 minutes, strutted through the crowd a time or two to be seen, and left. One question- what’s the point? It’s a little misleading in the Fun Times, as it’s printed “meet your cast” like they’ll be mingling with the crowd or something. I really could care less about meeting the cast, especially after that dreadful performance. However, I will say on previous cruises when this was not forced on them, the cast would hang out in the club on their own and have a lot more fun with the passengers that way. The music tonight was the best it had been all week. Good times indeed! Up next: Oh no! The last day!

I arrived at 7:15 pm, just in time to see our waiters dance to "Moves Like Jagger." That’s the first time I’ve ever seen them dance to this song! nice, i like that song :) lookin' fierce :D Edited October 20, 2013 by falkcor

gapearl Posted October 21, 2013 Author #441 Share Posted October 21, 2013 Subscribed! I can't wait to read all about your Breeze experience!!! Thanks for subscribing! I hope you enjoy! Well, I must say, GAPearl, your review is making me want the Breeze to be my next Carnival cruise. This year (in 6 weeks actually:D) we are going on Princess and taking a break from Carnival. Do not get me wrong, we still greatly enjoy Carnival, but I have not enjoyed their food for the last 2 or 3 years. I felt I needed a change. My travel companions (one was on Ruby Princess with her husband last year and the other on the Sunshine in Europe back in May) wanted to try something different for our all-girls/leave-the-guys-at-home cruise. Next year though, we'll likely do another Carnival cruise, and I'd like it to be the Breeze. I understand wanting to switch it up a bit. I booked us on the Freedom of the Seas for next year. I also looked at Norwegian's Breakaway but it was wayyyyy more than what I wanted to pay. Princess had some great last minute deals to Alaska this year. I might give them a try next year if they have some that cheap again ($199 pp inside 7 day). Change is good, but I'll always come back. :) LOL G is looking a little Jaundice! But he has a nice smile and dresses nicely too! :D Jaundice LOL. nice, i like that song :) lookin' fierce :D Me too! And thanks! :D

Looking forward to the production shows that Liberty still does. I was on the Breeze in Aug. and even though I liked the Production Shows the signing was horrible!
