My mom skipped dinner and went to the casino so I headed to dinner solo. I arrived at 7:15 pm, just in time to see our waiters dance to "Moves Like Jagger." That’s the first time I’ve ever seen them dance to this song!

I wasn’t that hungry so I skipped an appetizer and had the roast turkey with a side of mashed potatoes. Can you believe I skipped my warm chocolate melting cake too?

After dinner I saw G briefly on deck 5 by the casino bar. He was in the middle of a serious card game with his uncles. I left them and headed to the magic show of Bobby Borgia. He was really good! If you have the chance to see him, make sure you do!

Any Scandal fans here? Tonight was the season premiere. It would have been awesome to have it seen played on the lido big screen with popcorn, like the movie the night before (yeah right, like that really would have happened haha :p), but nope! It’s the Blue Iguana’s Mexican Fiesta tonight! Another deck party with lots of fun and dancing.

G and I met up again in Liquid Nightclub at 11:30 pm. Lots of people from the roll call and group were here chatting, dancing, and having a good time. Tonight DJ Tesh was spinning. He was soooooo much better than DJ DUH! Dork. G and I danced all night! :)

Up next: The most awful thing I saw all cruise.

Here's where you get your samples. You can grab as many as you want. There are a few different flavors and colors. The dark one in the earlier pictures is the coffee flavor. I was a bit put off by the fact that CHILDREN, as in 10-12 years old, were going through the line happily sampling. Where were their parents?

I've got my bottle to bring home! If I remember correctly, it was $24. They have a sample pack of all the different flavors for $19 but golly those bottles were small.

I've already mixed this with some coconut rum I bought in Grand Turk and Ocean Spray cran-lemonade. It was good. Really, really good.

I am enjoying your review so much. My son and I did the same itinerary in June on the Freedom. Such fun to revisit some of my favorite places. I had to comment as I have the same picture of myself posing next to the bottle at the liquor factory!

Thanks for putting in the time and effort required for this review! All of us future Breezers appreciate it! :D I'm glad to read that you made a great time out of your experience! Thanks a lot!

I think Alfthecruiser was on my last cruise on our CC Freedom roll call. Same itinerary. If I'm remembering correctly, he really likes Jacks Shack in GT. :)

Stupid question...... How do you pronounce Curaçao? Cur-rock-o or cure-a-cay-o or cure-a-sow?

I have always wondered the same thing. I am gonna google it! I just LOVE this review! Looks like you had a great group of pax on your cruise seeing the pictures of the deck parties. So many times we have gone to a deck party and there were only a dozen or so people there. :( You let the good times roll and I congratulate you for that! ;)

We crossed over the bridge, where I got some great pictures of the ship. There’s a free ferry you can take if the bridge isn’t not available.

There goes the Cura bus.

The Queen Juliana Bridge? I had a near panic attack on this bridge last year. I do not like heights and this bridge was too open. Bridges themselves do not bother me, but I am more used to bridges that have a superstructure above them (such as the Ben Franklin, Walt Whitman, Verrazano, etc.) where you cannot so readily look down. Our driver was taking us to the beach. On the way back from the beach to port, we had the driver drop us off downtown and I walked (yay) over the Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge (which was a scenic and easy walk) back to the ship. No way in hell was I going back over that blue bridge that has no sides.

We packed up and headed back to the port area for a little shopping. I think we were back here by 1ish. If you're making a stop to Curacao, book Irie Tours. You'll love it!

I'm LOVING your review! Looks like you had so much fun on Irie Tours that I booked them today for my cruise next month. Can't wait to see what else you have in store for us. :D

Ariel pointed out Lover’s Bridge. The story here goes that people jump off to their death after having relationship problems. Ariel wondered why his ex never showed any love here. LOL

Ariel said that Curacao has been listed as the #10 UNESCO world heritage site because of all the colorful buildings. However, I don’t see Curacao listed at all on their website. He told us the story of how all the buildings became so colorfully painted. See, once upon a time, all the buildings were white. Well there was this doctor that convinced the city to paint all the buildings these bright colors. Funny thing is he was secretly the main shareholder of the paint factory, so he got rich!

Some random shots around town.

This guy is clearly having a rough day.

Well, that's a more "colorful" story about why the houses are pastel. Our tour said it was because the Prime Minister got migraines from looking at the white buildings so ordered them all to be painted in pastels. I think I like Ariel's version better. Haha.

LOL! Our tour guide said it was the Mayor who owned the paint factory!

Where ARE you?????:D (I followed your cruise on the Valor as I was cruising just a few weeks after you. I'm also from the Atlanta area--north of Atlanta) Not doing this cruise but I still like keeping up with your adventures, LOL. :D I'm doing the Western for the first time ever, this next spring break. Had to tone it down after that expensive Southern out of OSJ last spring break.

I did this same tour the last 2x in Curacao. This is being back great memories.

While Carnival doesnt call on Bonaire several lines do.

http://www.infobonaire.com/cruises.html

Amazing snorkeling

I know Royal Caribbean has a ship that leaves from Panama and goes to the ABC islands plus Cartagena, Colombia, also on my bucket list. I'd love to book that one!

Curacao has always been on my list of must-visit places, partly because I think the colorful houses are so pretty! It reminds me a lot of the houses in Burano near Venice. This story is hysterical though! Who would have thought that is how Curacao got it's iconic colorful buildings?? haha

Curacao is beautiful! I hope you make it some day! :)

Stupid question...... How do you pronounce Curaçao? Cur-rock-o or cure-a-cay-o or cure-a-sow?

Cure-a sow.

Oh I bet you had a great cruise. I loved the Freedom. This is a really great itinerary. I think Carnival did good putting these ports together.

Thank you! I don't think I've ever seen a weak deck party. People have always come out in full force on my cruises.

Googled pronunciation of Curacao and this is what I found, actually from an old CC thread! :pSo it really is CURE - AH- SOW (rhymes with cow).

There's our answer, folks! :)

I really love your reviews. We'll be sailing the Breeze again next August but will be taking the St. Maarten, St. Kitts, etc. route.

Thank you! I loved both of those islands. Book Welcome Tours St. Kitts with Beulah if you're looking for something to do there.

I feel your pain! Yes that bridge is way up there if you don't like heights!

This is absolutely correct. The spelling of Curacao (esp. the suffix -ao) suggests to me that the word is of Portuguese origin.

You learn something new every day. I didn't know that.

The picture with the tug looking boat reminds me of the Port of Miami.

IKR I have quite a few pictures of tugs leaving Miami.

may I ask where you got them?

im going to have to step up my "dress up for dinner" game next cruise......

Thank you! All the dresses are from Express. I never walk out of there with less than two big bags. LOL Happy shopping to you for your next cruise! :)

Me too :D

You guys have fun!
