bonniew88 Posted October 7, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2013 We're 4 seniors in our 70s sailing on Epic 11/30. Can someone tell us about taking a taxi to Paradise Point? We don't want to do the tram. How long a drive and the cost for 4 persons? Is it a comfortable ride, or is the road steep and twisty and nerve wracking? Would we be better off lunching in one of the nicer hotels? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.:)
VickiD59 Posted October 7, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 7, 2013 Bonnie, you may get a better answer over at the St Thomas boards in the "port" section of cruise critic- but having cruised St Thomas a few times, I can tell you there were many safari type vehicles and taxis all lined up just waiting when you come off the ship. tallyho8 Posted October 7, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 7, 2013 You can see the tram from the ship and it is a very easy walk to get there. Only about 2 blocks.

The OP said they didn't want to take the tram. ;) OP, you might also check prior to your sailing if Paradise is open. There has been a lot of talk about it being closed at the moment with no info about it reopening. :)
Jan_In_Maine Posted October 9, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Then we were there the last week of August we were told it was open, but when we got there we found it closed with the gondolas being worked on. Jan ... perhaps they are now open.
