toosday Posted October 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2013 Can I get some advice, I will be in Rome next year for a few days post cruise, I have stayed on the Via Veneto many years ago, I would like a NICE older hotel, near the Trevi, Spanish Steps, Borghese, I can walk but not too far and then hate paying for taxi if its too close. My fiancé has never been to Rome and like I said like a 4 star hotel that does not break the bank, any recent travels there and advice? I will even take where NOT to stay. We are on RC and not sure how hotels arrange for port transportation. Thanks!:)
CruiserBruce Posted October 10, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2013 A little reading on the board will get you lots of hotel info. Threads like these, just down the board: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1919966 http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1407198 http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1791104 and many more. An even better place for hotel reviews and recommendations is Cruise Critic's sister website, TripAdvisor, which specializes in hotels.
cberge Posted October 10, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 10, 2013 Check out Venere.com as they list hotels by area as well as price with a little blurb on each.As Cruiser Bruise stated this board is full of info if you read through some pages as well.FYI..if you stay near the Borghese you will need to take a taxi, anf the Vis Veneto hotles are gnerally in the upper price range.Trevi,Spanish Steps or P.Navona would be better suited for you.
