helovestrains Posted October 11, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2013 I plan on booking a couple of ship excursions (haven't done this before). My itinerary says I will be in port for 8 hours. When looking at the Celebrity website it identifies the length of the excursion. Is there a way to find out when during those 8 hours the excursion will begin and end? Some of the excursions I am looking at are 3 hours in length. Just wondering if I will be able to do something else while in port. Thanks.
diane.in.ny Posted October 11, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2013 I'm not familiar with Celebrity but when I go to actually book a shore excursion on another line, I get more detailed information such as starting time. Try taking your research one step forward and click on the Booking link. You may find just the information you are looking for.
OCruisers Posted October 12, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 12, 2013 As soon as your excursions are listed under Already Booked for your exact cruise (booking number required ) , you'll be able to get this information for the timing of the excursions being offered. Cruisin' Chick Posted October 12, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2013 I know on Princess, the time will usually be noted on the reservation. But there has been a couple of times that the time of the excursion was changed by the time I boarded the ship and we've checked out tickets. So if thinking about doing some sightseeing or shopping before or after a booked excursion, I would try to be flexible. I definitely wouldn't try to book two excursions in the same port unless there's a separation of a couple of hours between the end of one and the beginning of another, as well as the ability to cancel an excursion after getting our tickets (I don't know how Celebrity works it, but Princess doesn't charge you when you prebook, and if you want to cancel an excursion, it's pretty easy to do so on board as long as it's by the posted deadline). Krazy Kruizers Posted October 12, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 12, 2013 On HAL when we can pull up our reservation -- see what tours are available for each port -- the times of the tours are listed there as well as the prices.
helovestrains Posted October 12, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted October 12, 2013 I now have gone one step farther and went into the booking link and found the departure times for the excursions. That made total sense when I read that! Also found out that one of the excursions I was looking at didn't show up so I guess we will have to do that on our own or look for another excursion. Thanks for you help!
