loving this thread..and wish i had seen one like this before our first cruise because there are so many different views here! here is ours from our first cruise on carnival ecstasy last year 5 day to the bahamas for 2

 

Luggage (were young this was our first real vacay) $200

Gas from Tn to Fl $160

Tolls in Fl $20

Pre cruise stay park & cruise packing @ Radisson Resort $160

Cruise-Balcony room incl tax & fees & gratuities $1261

Nails done at spa (because salt water ruins nail polish) $20

Casino $20 we had never been in one & played a few slot machines

Pre cruise food $100

and we stayed an extra week in orlando and did universal, IOA, wet n wild and several other things but aside from this the total for the cruise alone

= $ 2953

Ok, my wife and I are doing a bucket list of cruises to places we read about in school and can now set foot on them before we need a walker, crutches or a motorized scooter. We have and save $$$ for each one and pre-pay most of it ahead of time. Pricing is for 2 people

12 day Eastern Med Cruise in a PH Suite (S3) $11,500 (Yes we are spoiled rotten)

R/T First Class Airfare (using Princess EZAir) $8400.00 (Yes again here also) If you don't fly first class your children will!

Clothes for trip $2000

Hotel stay in Barcelona before trip $1000

Princess Excursions on trip $1500

Private Excursions on trip $900 Euro

Princess Tab on ship $1500

Budget for Casino $1200, came back with $1200

Transport to/from Airport $225

Cruise Insurance $450

Grand total round numbers $27,825

 

As I said we Save and Budget for these trips. Two more coming up and a possible Hawaiian Trip also in the mix.

I always use a spreadsheet for every cruise, work it all out and always forget to add in the spending money
