hELLO, HAS ANYONE ON THE BOARD MADE A SIGHTSEEING TRIP ON THEIR OWN IN BELIZE WITH OUT A PLANNED ONE FROM THE SHIP? WAS THERE MUCH TO DO TO GET A TASTE OF THAT ISLAND? THANKS SO MUCH FOR ANY INPUT

Hi Granni. Belize is not an island. It is in the heart of Central America and is bordered by Mexico to the north and Guatemala to the west and south. Belize is also a tender port. Belize is mostly known for cave tubing and Mayan ruins excursions.

P.S. Please turn your caps lock off. Caps are the equivalent of you shouting at us. Thanks!

We were in Belize last June. We booked cave tubing through Cavetubing.Bz. We have great guides that told us so much about the country. They pointed out several sites as we traveled to the place where you begin the cave tubing. You are actually in a car about an hour, so you get to see a lot of the country side, as well as the city. The cavetubing was wonderful.

We have been there twice, and both times we booked things on our own prior to getting to Belize.

The first time we went Cave Tubing with Vitalino Reyes, amazing!!!!!! Number one on trip advisor.

The second time we went on a boat trip with snorkeling and beach time, it was heavenly.......

Wasn't a big fan of Belize. We did the Altun Ha tour and then after a few minutes around the port decided to head back to the ship. I'm sure it has plenty to offer but it was our last stop on that cruise and we were beat.

Did the same only in reverse order...LOL. We love Belize but feel you really need to have an excursion because at the pier there is only shopping and/or hanging out in a bar. The country is very beautiful and the people are very nice!
