$5 Cocktail at Taste Bar

Does anybody know what kind of drinks can be bought at the taste bar for $5? :D

they change based on the dish served. for instance the day they had a taste from the blue iguana, they had a blue margarita - i think 'blue's blue margarita' or something like that... the night they had the meatball taste from cucina capitano, it was a red wine.

 

they're a good deal though, highly recommended checking it out :)

they may have served that at the closest bar to the taste bar. on triumph, the taste bar cart is set up next to the casino bar... so, you guessed it, the special drinks each night were available at... the casino bar! :)

On the Liberty last month, there were no drink specials offered at the taste bar.

Never saw any drinks at the Taste Bar on Glory, just food and it was free. But the Alchemy Bar and Casino Bars are very close by.

Going to be on the Conquest and I've read on the Cruise Critic page about food on the ship that they do this, but I have no idea how long ago that info was posted.

On Paradise, near the taste bar the Casino Bar servers were walking around and offering the $5.00 drink special. It is a good deal and the Taste Bar is really good especially on Italian night. The meatballs are good and are served with a slightly spicey tomato sauce.

Awesome! We're going to try not to drink too much on the boat (it just gets too pricy), but a $5 cocktail is a great deal. :)

So I was never able to find these elusive cocktails on my ship. *sigh* They were supposed to have waiters offering them by the taste bar, but that did not happen.

These $5 drink specials were being offered on the Inspiration in December. I had the strongest margarita ever. I looked for them last week on the Miracle but they didn't offer them. Maybe it's a Fantasy class thing.

They are advertised in the Fun Times daily under the info for the Taste Bar between 6:30-8:30, the cocktail is supposed to match the offering, there's supposedly waiters nearby offering this special. The nearby bar knew nothing of it, and the guest services person I spoke with couldn't figure it out.

Two years ago on the Dream there were guys standing there trying to sell a drink with the Taste Bar sample.

It's only on sea days when the taste bat is open.

The drink matches the taste bar food as others have said, however they're not sold at the taste bar. I have had them on the Fantasy class as well as Dream class.

 

Fantasy Class: they are sold at the casino bar.

 

Dream Class: they are sold at the bar in Ocean Plaza.

 

I've had the drink specials on three Fantasy ships and two dream ships (not the dream itself though)

 

The only ones I've had are the blue's blue margarita and the red's rum punch. They did have a red wine on Italian night, but I'm not a fan.
