Ipad prices onboard?

Has anyone bought an Apple product from the I Lounge onboard?

No taxes and duty, I believe.

I understand they are an authorized Apple re-seller.

I have read that prices are similar to US prices?

They do not charge tax, but I found their prices to be higher than the US Apple Store website. I believe around $30, which almost offset the sales tax that would have applied to me in the USA. Of course, I could have used OBC for the iPad if I had enough (I didn't).

They are not Duty Free in the sense that you don't have to declare them or pay duty. If their price exceeds your duty free allowance, they are subject to duty.

Also some people have received free time to get their iPad set up others have not. You are probably better off picking one up in Florida.

Does Celebrity provide lists of purchases to CBP? if not, and this is not my recommendation, they can't tell between a new ipad and one carried on board. ;)
