Need help with Port of NOLA

Can anyone tell me how far the port is from the airport? We are needing to fly in the morning of the cruise, and the flight doesn't land until 11:30. I know this is frowned upon, but DH's work schedule leaves us no choice:mad:

Is this do-able? Figure by the time we get off the plane and get our bags, it will be around noon, IF the flight is on time:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Thoughts?

The airport is less than 20 miles from the Port of New Orleans.

As stated above, 20 - 30 min ride.

From the MSY airport site:

Taxicabs:

A cab ride costs $33.00 from the airport to the Central Business District (CBD) for one or two persons and $14.00 (per passenger) for three or more passengers. Pick-up is on the lower level, outside the baggage claim area. There may be an additional charge for extra baggage. Taxis are required to offer a credit card payment option.

Should be close to that price to get to the Port.

Good luck with your flight arrival!

It is not a problem, but you may consider Carnival's transfer service, which is

$46 pp round trip.

Friends of ours who recently flew and took a cab for their NOLA cruise said it cost $44 for the two of them with luggage and waiting time in traffic at the pier, this did not include the tip.
