Drink Coupons/ Bar Credits

For our cruise with Carnival we received a tip from these boards that it would be a benefit to purchase drink coupons (alcohol) prior to the cruise so because one coupon = $5 where most drinks were a little over. So in the end, you would save a few dollars that way. We purchased $200 worth of coupons and were able to budget very well during the cruise. In the end we did not have a big alcohol bill. I was wondering would it be beneficial to do that for Celebrity? What have others done?

Hi:) I have never heard of Drink Coupons on Celebrity.

 

Now, If you want to buy yourself onboard credits before your cruise then they

will be on your account after your board the ship. You will still have to sign

for whatever you buy but the amount will just be deducted from your account.

 

As for Drink Coupons, that would be a new one to me.

On Celebrity they have some drinks that are available any day for $4.25 + 15% gratuity. Screwdriver, Bloody Mary, Tom Collins I believe were listed, along with 1 or 2 others. Each day 3 more "Drinks of the Day" are offered at the same price. For instance: Singapore Sling, Vodka Sour, Rum Runner. There also is a non-alcoholic drink of the day for the same price.
