Drink coupons purchased from Carnival

 Share

Recommended Posts

Carnival has posted that drink coupons purchased with no expiry day, will expire February 1, 2014. Recently Mary from Carnival posted this "You have until 02/01/2018 to use your Bar Coupons" here. http://www.carnival.com/Funville/forums/t/290736.aspx

This is the only place I've seen the 2018 date. Can anyone confirm that this is correct. Thanks

That is a huge typo on Mary's part. The actual date is February 1, 2014. Below is a link where Mischelle confirms the date. Read half way down the page.

The Cruise Cash program replaces the line’s previous coupon-based program. Carnival will continue to honor previously purchased coupons through Feb. 1, 2014.

I have one coupon left and I board my next cruise on February 2, 2014.

Sell it on ebay. I am sure someone will buy it. I seen last week where someone sold Carnival soda coupons and the person that won the bid paid more for the coupons than they were worth.:eek:

That's crazy!?? I think it's funny when people sell their zone 1 luggage tags

The thing is the person that asked about the expiry was worried and Mary seemed to be providing her with good news. Her post was October 15, where the other info was posted last February. So it's possible that they have had to extend the date being that they were sold without an expiry date.

I would go back and ask Mary again because everywhere else it states 2-1-2014. I still think it is a huge typo.

Edit...I just went back and asked Mary on that thread if she was mistaken.

It was me that asked Mary n Michelle the question as I had $140.50 in drink coupons and photo coupons due to our last cruise not like it had been in the past lol. one of our friends was a big downer and brought down our cruise. somewhat. we had purchased quite a few even lol. no cruise this year as I was going with family n friends to florida to take the grandkids to the parks and see family.

I had read 2014 and when mary wrote 2018 I totally missed that and was still thinking 2014. duh me.. BUT, another cruiser stated she would buy them from me. we both had paypal so worked out, I wasn't out all the money and she will be cruising before whichever expiration date that it ends up being and won't be spending as much for drinks n photos

Did the other cruiser buy them all? I'm cruising in January 2014 and would love to buy some if you have any left? I loved the drink coupons and wasn't happy when I read they did away with them.

girlscruise2011.. I'm sorry, she did buy them all. I liked the coupons. especially as I saved almost a dollar with each jack n coke!.. I think that be one of the reason's carnival did away with them. the photocoupons were never a discount, just a way for me to prepay some of my vacation. lol. now they are trying to be smarter/sneakier with these new cruise cash cards as if you don't pay attention, you'll lose out on the balance if you don't use them all. unlike the funship dollars where you would get a check back at the end of your cruise.

one poster made an excellent post (hope carnival never figures it out) she realized she still had some unused cruise cash so she went to the casino, took it out and put it in a slot machine. played a few spins or so then cashed out. which we all know, you go to the cage and get cash from them. ;) ..I said to her that was a very smart idea. I know ppl would do that instead of paying the ATM fee's on the ship.

Hi ready2cruzagain I have 24 bar coupons left if you are interested. Our next cruise isn't until the end of August.

I would take them but you should be able to use them. Just got a reply from Carnival and they stated they are good till 2/1/2018 now!

If you still want to sell them email me at ready2cruzagain @outlook.com without the space.

This is how I get cash for excursions and port stops every cruise. Add money to my players account and then cash it out at the cage.

Yes, I could sell mine, but I am really hoping Carnival makes this right. The bar manager on my last cruise assured me that they would never expire.
