First True Upgrade Fairy Call not upsell

We just returned from the Oct 26th Sailing on the Triumph. We received a call from Carnival about 4pm Oct 25th, while sitting in a bar in Galveston. We were booked in an inside cabin on Deck 9, 9252, and were offered and accepted a free upgrade to a Balcony on Deck 6, 6372. Have had balcony cabins before but never thought they were worth the additional costs. But will never turn down a FREE balcony.

Nice to hear they still do some true upgrades.We had a true upgrade to a Jr. Suite about 8 years ago and then about 3 years ago we got an upsell call to go to lido balcony for only 20.00 more.Loved both for different reasons but free is so much nicer.I'm happy for you
