firstcruiseever Posted November 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2013 So do they have roll aways or bed rails for little ones on the older ships like Ecstasy? I am scared to put our kids up on the pull down beds.
cantwait2cruise Posted November 3, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2013 We got our steward to bring a trundle for our three year old on our last two cruises. It was set up underneath one of the pull down beds (not the one over our bed) making it look like bunk beds. This worked perfect for us. IPlayWithString Posted November 3, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2013 On both our cruises, we requested an cot for our son (he's 9) for our cabin. What we got was exactly that..a bedframe thing that rested only a few inches off the floor with a mattress, bed linens and a pillow. Of course, as you go up in price for your cabin, that may differ I'm sure but on both trips (Fascination and the Triumph) that was exactly what we got. And you know what? It was pretty comfortable. The first night my son said "I'm not sleeping on the floor. That sucks!" so I ended up sleeping on the cot while my husband shared the bed with our son. rhinomike Posted November 3, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2013 Take the ladder and turn it sideways. Put it in between the mattress and the bed frame. It becomes a perfect bed rail. We always did that when our kids slep in the upper bunk.
cruzn buckeye Posted November 3, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2013 I saw a post here that showed where someone had the couch in the room turned to face the wall. So it became sort of an enclosed bed for their little one. I thought it was a great idea.
