cosmo cruiser Posted November 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2013 We bought our 100 shares, sent in proof of ownership via e-mail, and got an e-mail back saying it may take 7-10 days for a response. OK we wait. 10 days went by so I sent the e-mail a second time and now 10 days have gone by again....and nothing? Not sure what to do next? We sail in 16 days and would like to have the on-board credit if possible? Is there a phone number specifically for this issue that I can call to ask what my next step should be? I read on the boards that people see their OBC in a few days of making contact? That isn't happening for me. I don't want to be a pset but I do want the OBC for our next cruise. Any help would be appreciated at this point. Thanks so much.

When you get to it go to >Investor relations>Shareholder Benefit . This page has everything you need to know....fax, phone, etc. BTW, official policy for CCL is no longer allowing email submission. Fax or snail mail only. I know that Carnival is still doing email sometimes, but you might have better success if you could get to a fax machine. cosmo cruiser Posted November 3, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted November 3, 2013 This is exactly the information I needed. I will send my paperwork via fax on Monday from work. CookieShip Posted November 3, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2013 Check your spam/junk folder. I was upset about not getting a response at all, but their response went to my junk mail!:o
SkyMaster Posted November 3, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2013 They're usually pretty good about responding to the requests, and posting the OBC, but occasionally things do "fall through the cracks". I'd call 'em and see what they say. You may have to fax the info once again. Good luck. "SKY"
rolaur Posted November 3, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 3, 2013 Have you checked your documents under your booking. Most times you will not get a response and the OBC will just show up in your docs. It's been like that every time I have submitted by email.

I sent my proof of ownership to both Carnival and Holland America on the same day. I got an email back from HAL, but none from Carnival. I checked my documents on the Carnival site and my OBC was there.

Hopefully this will make things move along. Thanks for the information, very much appreciated. Safe travels! You'll probably have better luck with the fax. I faxed mine it at (literally) around 4:30 in the afternoon and had a confirmation email that it was approved before lunch the next day. I was shocked how fast it went. It still doesn't show up when I log into my account on the website but if I pretend I'm printing my documents it shows up.
amready Posted November 3, 2013 #10 Share Posted November 3, 2013 I emailed mine in and I only received the response that it would be 7 -10 days for them to respond. When I go into my reservation it was not showing but when I printed my cruise documents I saw that I had the on board credit.
belkin Posted November 3, 2013 #11 Share Posted November 3, 2013 I emailed 2 requests last week and had the credit in 2 or 3 days. I received an email confirmation for one of the requests and the other one I found the credit when I checked my documents.
idlenote Posted November 4, 2013 #12 Share Posted November 4, 2013 Have always had a fast acknowledgement in the past but this time around no response, I've sent it twice. Something is a little off.

Did you check your cruise documents to see if it was applied? It would be found under "Print General Information". You won't get a confirmation email. cosmo cruiser Posted November 6, 2013 Author #14 Share Posted November 6, 2013 I faxed everything in on Monday and I have checked my on line documents a couple of times. Only the $50 OBC we already had from doing a military booking shows up so far. I will try printing my documents in the morning to see if it shows up then as some have suggested it might. I was waiting to print documents and boarding passes until the other OBC shows, less hassle having it in writing before we board. I am a "ducks in a row" kinda person. Thanks for all the advise, it gives me other options to look at before I waste time trying to discuss it with someone on the phone. This time for some reason none of my requests are being responded to? I e-mailed the players club three times already and still no response. One time we got a response from them three weeks after we sailed...duh...that wasn't very benificial to say the least. Oh well not that big of a deal, but I would like to hear back from them in regard to past play credit. We'll see how it goes in the morning. Thanks for the advice. cosmo cruiser Posted November 6, 2013 Author #16 Share Posted November 6, 2013 I printed out our docs this morning and the additional shareholders OBC is posted to our paperwork. Not sure how long it has been there because I didn't know to actually print the docs to see it. I just assumed it would show on the "manage my cruise" page because our other OBC showed there. Once I went to print docs I could clearly see it was there so we are all set, docs printed, and getting ready to start packing this weekend. Thanks for all the help, I will know in the future the best way to process the request and how to see if it has been allocated because of all of the helpful people here on Cruise Critic! Not the first thing this board has taught me and likely won't be the last. Safe Travels. ;)
tafische Posted November 7, 2013 #17 Share Posted November 7, 2013 Hey fellow Carnival Owner ;) I started using a PVP a few cruises ago and she is happy to take care of my Shareholder credit. I just emailed her a .pdf of my statement and she got it applied very quickly. You are right that it does not show up on your summary page with other credits. You have to "print" your cruise documents to see it. Between the dividends and the OBC I have to say I have been pretty pleased with the stock overall. You have to "print" your cruise documents to see it. Between the dividends and the OBC I have to say I have been pretty pleased with the stock overall. We had an amazing PVP for quite a few years. I always used her for everything and never had a single issue with getting things taken care of......well she quit and moved to the Bahamas a year or so ago. I have one that calls me once in awhile but for the most part she is worthless. She has never bothered to look at our cruise history or taken one minute to actually learn anything about us, so she asks the same dumb questions every time she calls. I have 4 cruises booked right now and she called a couple of weeks ago and asked if we wanted to book a cruise because we hadn't been on one in awile............well yes I would like to go on a cruise, that is why I have 4 of them booked already...duh. Do your homework lady. I have been booking direct lately and so far no issues doing it that way either. The only thing I am not having no luck with this time is hearing back from the casino staff? I have sent an e-mail twice and both times...nothing. Not a huge deal, but kinda of frustrating. One time they finally got back with me............three weeks after we sailed, so I'm not sure why I am frustrated, I should expect it. We will have a great time either way, if I hear from them before we sail or not. Doing the single digit dance today, we sail in only 9 days! Thanks for all the help. Cruise Critic, the next best thing to being on a cruise. Chatting with like minded folks.
