We were also on this cruise~had a BLAST with funinthesun1964~Brenda and Scott~and our CC friends! I will have to agree with the odd ducks and bizarre passengers because we all fell in that category~~~

Oh believe me, DH and I have our moments, so I'm sure that you don't even come close to the level of "odd" that I was referring to. I don't want to get into specifics, but whooping it up wasn't even on my radar, LOL!

We were on the same cruise, and we sure lucked out in the weather department! Other than the last day, it was never too hot or too overcast.

I do have to say, I encountered a lot of "Odd Ducks" this cruise. I had a few personal encounters that were strange and witnessed several things that were downright bizarre. It must have been the Halloween thing, LOL!

I agree with you on this! LOL

Okay, so we wake up around 7 on Sunday and we decide to go to breakfast. We get to the lobby and we couldn't believe it. Remember those two busses at the hotel. There were dozens of teenagers maybe 16-18 in the lobby for breakfast  I have to say, the woman at the desk the night before DID warn me about this. She told me that she was going to open another room - BUT - the room had no food, only tables and chairs set up. Needless to say, we went through the line and about everything was picked over. No big deal, it was eventually restocked, but it was just chaotic and crazy. WOW!

So we decided to go workout after this. The facilities were adequate here. One treadmill, one cycle and one elliptical. Television, water, towels - typical hotel workout room. There was also a sauna, which we didn't use, and a pool with some kids enjoying while we were exercising. Oh - and a Jacuzzi which was closed for maintenance or whatever. It was closed the whole time we were there. We would not have used this anyway - just a heads up if you are planning on staying there in the near future and you would want to use, call hotel first to see if it is working.

Here are some photos of the hotel facilities:

We had plenty of time to get showered and ready to go. DH talked to the grumpy guy at the front desk and found out from him that there was no 10:30 shuttle like I had signed up for on the third-party website, but instead only an 11:30 and 12:30 shuttle. So we took our time getting ready to go and when we were ready, we just sat in the lobby and waited. We then went outside and sat on a bench. We saw that the van was already there and there were 10 people total: me, DH, a family of four, and two couples.

Luckily there were two vans - DH and I rode with the family of four and the two other couples went in another van.

It was about a 15 minute drive to the port from this hotel. Seemed like there was moderate traffic for a Sunday morning. I attempted to take pictures of the first sightings of the ship, even from the wrong side of the van, lol:

I'm getting the little blue square with a ? Mark inside it where pictures should be. Don't know if it's my tablet or on your side. Looking forward to reading your review and SEEING your pictures.

Never mind....reloaded and there they were. Did you guys do a Liberty review a while ago? Looking forward to this review.

Yes, we did - we were on Liberty at the end of February of this year and I did a review shortly after we returned. Thanks.

keep the pics coming.. that is my favorite part of embarkation day is seeing the ship in the distance for the first time.. that really gets the excitement going :)

Absolutely! When I see the ship, I just can't wait to board! You know it's not too long at that point! :D

Finally, we made it to the port! Our driver from the hotel, was very nice, we tipped him and handed over bags to a porter right there, tipped him too and we were on our way! Showed our passports and boarding documents and headed forward!

At this point, I'm really excited!

Went through the terminal in no time at all! We arrived about 11:45 and no line at all. Were shown to an agent and we were checked in and received our S&S cards, and proceeded directly to the ship!

Arrived in the atrium lobby and started taking pictures:

I'm going to call our hotel. We are staying at the holiday inn by the stadiums. I just found out there is construction and a ravens game the day we leave. I don't want to stress about shuttles and traffic getting to the boat.
