I had a super time in VA with Patty. We walked 4.5 miles yesterday in Washington..... I feel like I'm in an alternate reality with the laundry on and writing my blog!

 

Day 4 - Funchal, Madeira.

 

 

This is from the Compass.... at no time was I asked to produce photo ID to leave the ship..... and only once was I asked to produce it to get back into the pier area (St Thomas)

Port area, ship side..... it's quite a long walk in to town.... there are shuttles available at a price.

Omelette and chips by the cable car station at the top of the mountain. Coffee was wonderful.

 

 

 

 

You'll be tired of sushi pics by the end.... I didn't eat the soy sauce and they subsequently brought the bottle and confirmed it did indeed contain Gluten.

 

 

I don't always remember to take a pic BEFORE I start eating and sometimes dive straight in....

I really need to apologise for the naff menu pics..... the one above really is awfully blurred..... if I can sharpen it up later I will repost.

 

 

This is Pedro, the MTD Restaurant Manager.... he worked really hard to feed me.... desserts especially....

 

 

Day 5 - Sea day

Unfortunately Adventure Ocean pool area is out of order.... I've no idea if it came back into use later on though as events appeared in the Compass.
