BMP57 Posted November 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2013 Getting ready to book a January 2015 11-Day Panama Canal (Partial) cruise on the Coral Princess. Wondering if anyone has stayed in a Vista Suite on the Coral and your thoughts and recommendations. Thanks Brian
spirit rev Posted November 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2013 The Vista Suite on The Coral was our first experience on Princess. We really enjoyed it for a Panama Canal full transit. These are great suites - as are all Princess Suites. The living area is wonderful. We liked the sectioned bathroom. The living area is good sized as is the balcony. Several times we entertained with a total of 8 people in the living area and/or balcony. There is a heavy curtain that seperates the living area from the bedroom area, which is also very spacious. We liked the sink in the bar area but missed a "dining" table in the suite. The only one was on the balcony.
Gunner22aa Posted November 5, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 5, 2013 We cruise in these exclusivly but not on the Coral. We like true aft facing suites and for this reason the Coral which has none is not the ship for us.

Wondering if anyone has stayed in a Vista Suite on the Coral and your thoughts and recommendations. Thanks Brian We got upgraded to a Vista Suite from a mini for our 2 week Alaska Cruise on the Coral. It was fantastic for us. It may not be as large as some of the other suites, but it was plenty for us. The bathroom was fantastic, lots of room, an actual shower with a glass door rather than a shower curtain to battle. Near PDX Posted November 6, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 6, 2013 The Vista Suite balconies on the Caribe deck are only partially covered while the balconies for the Vista Suite balconies on the Dolphin deck are totally covered.
Bourbon Believer Posted September 7, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 7, 2016 Thanks for the great pictures. Just booked a Vista Suite on a Panama Canal 15 day cruise. Decided on the historic canal route, not the new one which just opened and allows for bigger ships. Took the Coral Princess sister ship, Island Princess to Alaska in May. Loved the size and coziness of the eating venues. Coral is actually holds fewer passengers as it did not get the same chop up addition of cabins the Island princess did. Really looking forward to it. Rare azbirdmom Posted September 7, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 7, 2016 We were in Vista Suite C704 in February and loved it! We also loved the proximity to the aft deck where the view was much better when going through the locks.
Bourbon Believer Posted September 7, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 7, 2016 So glad to get your comments on C704. We are assigned one deck below in D704. I was told deck 10 suites are not fully covered allowing passengers from upper decks to see onto your balcony. That's one reason I rarely stay in a mini suite as the same issue arises. The deck 9 suites are fully covered or so I've been told. When we took the Island Princess to Alaska we had the very last deck 8 mini suite. It was fully covered and the balcony curved around to get a great aft view of the ship. So glad Coral's layout was not changed like to Island. Due to adding the cabins on decks 12-14 there is no longer aft views and also no aft views on the promenade deck. I heard there was such a backlash to the changes on the Island that plans to do the same on the Coral were scrapped. So glad Princess listens when their customers make comments. Can't wait for our trip. Thanks again.
Rare taxatty Posted September 8, 2016 #10 Share Posted September 8, 2016 We had C703 on a Panama Canal cruise--we greatly enjoyed the room with the separate bedroom, the Jacuzzi tub, being able to order off any MDR menu in the room and the personalized service--very worth the $ to us.
