Renting car to go to Fort Hamilton and Fort Wadsworth in Staten Island

WE are thinking of renting from Enterpxxxx Car rental office in Bayonne; hoping they will pick us up at our hotel on morning of Jun 4th and perhaps give us a ride to the port after returning the car on morning of Jun 5th.

 

Any advice?

Have you tried calling them directly - not the 1-800 #'s but the local Enterprise rental office where you plan to book from ? It's best to confirm it with them - perhaps they will offer a credit against a cab/taxi ride, these are typically franchise locations with 1 or 2 employees and their hours are limited.

 

There is more than one location in Bayonne, NJ from what I saw. If you are flying into EWR, how do you plan to get to your hotel and/or pickup your rental car? Does your hotel offer free pickup at the airport? Ask & find out if you can pickup the car at EWR and drop off in Bayonne - and factor in the possible extra cost of local transportation, taxi fares to/from the Cape Liberty aren't cheap as nearly every CC members knew.
