Alcohol policy, am I allowed to...

First, I apologize if this had been addressed recently, but I've been going through threads without finding my answer! My question is: if, during my upcoming Caribbean cruise on the Royal Princess, I see a bottle of alcohol (there is a hard-to-find double espresso vodka that I am always on the hunt for, and have been told might be available in St-Marten) in a store in port that I would like to purchase to bring back home with me, will I be allowed to return to the ship with it and leave it in consignment until the end of my cruise, or is this not allowed on Princess and the bottle will be destroyed? I've purchased bottles while in port on cruises with RCI and Celebrity, but won't even look around if I know that this is a no-go with Princess.

Yes....buy it at the port....bring it on board, and IF they take it from you, it will be returned on your last night on board. No issues, no problems.

You can find Van Gogh Vodka Double Espresso and others at Total Wine in Ft. Lauderdale. Perhaps a taxi stop after disembarkation would be a better way to go.

A great suggestion, thank you, but not an option for us as we are taking the Princess transfer back to Miami Airport right after the cruise.

no problem buying alcohol in port and returning with it. One port they had no one there to take it so I brought it back to my room. Another port there was an "alcohol" table near the gang plank and they marked it and returned it the last day of the cruise. Non issue.
