What's that empty area/hole on Dream?

Checking the deck plan, there are big empty areas right below Lido Buffet all the way down from Vista to Upper deck. What is that? it is not atrium. I have been on Dream before, but I cannot picture it.

It's a back atrium. Just guessing.

It may be crew quarters.

It's probably for "ships mechanicals". Routing for plumbing, electrical, and engine exhaust, etc. May be for galley storage as well. Freezers, etc. ;)

I think crew's living quarters are all below water line:p. Vista is just one deck below Lido.

 

It is a large area on every deck. So it is too large to be storage. Plus, I saw the ship freezers and food storage on low deck too.

 

I thought the engine exhaust too. But that area is covered by Lido Buffet:confused:

Took a harder look, the area is not covered by Lido. Lido has a hole too. So it must be engine.

Well, this is supposed to be a secret, but if you promise not to tell, it's where the Camp Carnival counselers put the little brats when they get too rowdy. :rolleyes::D

On the Conquest they said that there are crew cabins on upper decks in the areas that guests cant go. I guess it could be different for Dream class ships, but I've been wrong before.
