rosestar2013 Posted November 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 14, 2013 I am not sure if this is in the right place or not. We were looking online and there does not seem to be any excursions in Ensinada Mexico on the website. I know we can book with private companies but that is not something we are interested in if we have other choices. Does Carnival normally have ports that they don't offer excursions in or is the website being screwy?

Depends on the timeframe of your sailing!..:) If its more than six months out, they may not be booking yet!.. :p
rosestar2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted November 14, 2013 its in feb. and the other port has stuff listed.
Colorado Kat Posted November 14, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 14, 2013 They should have things listed already. Might just be a temporary glitch in the web-site.
Plant Posted November 14, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 14, 2013 There may be a tour or two offered or there may not be! Ensenada, Mexico, is usually a very short stop, just to fulfill the "rule" that you've sailed out of the US to a "foreign" port. I'd suggest you check how much time is allowed for Ensenada. If it's very short, just get off and walk around a bit :)!
larkz Posted November 14, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 14, 2013 One way to see what excursions might be available through Carnival on various ports, is to do a Google search such as "ensenada excursions carnival" -- and that will likely get you to the appropriate Carnival page. In this case, it is: http://www.carnival.com/cruise-to/mexico/ensenada.aspx Of course, that doesn't mean any of the listed excursions are available on your itinerary. The page is only providing general information about the port. But it is also a good way to see just how much variety there is, and also, good ideas for activities that you might want to book through private vendors. In this case, there doesn't seem to be a heck of a lot, unfortunately.
rosestar2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Author #7 Share Posted November 14, 2013 we are scheduled to be in Ensinada from 9am to 8pm.
Rosefloater Posted November 14, 2013 #8 Share Posted November 14, 2013 we are scheduled to be in Ensinada from 9am to 8pm. Carnival has tours for the wineries, horseback riding, ATV riding, going to the Bufadora and others. I just went to the Carnival website. Under Explore, go to Shore Excursions, then scroll down to Ensenada. There is a list of excursions. To see excursions for your cruise, go to Manage and click on My Booking. Then for your cruise, Click on View Details, then Plan Activities. Since you are cruising less than 3 months, you should be able to see the excursions for your cruise. Rare Wanna_Cruize Posted November 14, 2013 #9 Share Posted November 14, 2013 (edited) Hopefully it is some glitch with the website. We're booked on the Thanksgiving trip to Catalina & Ensenada, and the shore excursions for Ensenada are available. We're also booked on the Feb 14th weekend getaway and no excursions are visible for Ensenada, just some "Home Port Advisory" I've never seen before. Here's what that says: Excursion Overview ----------- Notes Please log in with your Booking # to see what is specifically available for your sailing. Regarding Home Port excursions Excursion Description Please Note: Not all excursions may be available for all sailings. Some excursions are only available for certain ships as a Port of Call excursion. Other excursions are only available for certain ships as a Home Port excursion. Please log in with your Booking # to see what is specifically available for your sailing. ------------- I am logged in with my Booking number, but they are still not visible. The only other difference between the two bookings is that I have not made the final payment yet for the 2nd one. Maybe that's why I can't book an excursion? Nightstarzz Posted November 14, 2013 #10 Share Posted November 14, 2013 Im haiving the same issue with Costa Maya excursions for my January cruise. They recently announced a change from Belize to Costa Maya due to port congestion... it still doesnt list the shore excursions for Costa Maya when I goto book them. I can look at them if I route around, but cant book them. Called Carnival, they said check back in a month lol

Rare Wanna_Cruize Posted November 14, 2013 #14 Share Posted November 14, 2013 http://www.carnival.com/Activities It's not a problem seeing the excursions in general, but from your link if you click that you're ready to make a reservation, it takes you to the Activities area in the Manage My Cruise section, and when you click on the Shop Activities link, there are no excisions listed there. They are listed, however, for my November cruise. The only think I can book right now is FTTF, but I don't need that (fortunately!)

candigirl Posted November 15, 2013 #16 Share Posted November 15, 2013 I will be on the Inspiration next weekend (leaves 11/22) and we decided to do the winery tour....and it has disappeared. Very weird. Normally there are not even enough people to do 2 tours and they combine into the later time only. I don't really know what is going on. I thought maybe it was because Princess is doing the Baja 3/4 day cruises now, but it looks like Carnival docks in Ensenada on Sat and Princess on Sun. I'll check as soon as we get on board and try to book it and keep you posted.

Nightstarzz Posted November 15, 2013 #18 Share Posted November 15, 2013 I'd suggest you check how much time is allowed for Ensenada. The original poster had stated they were there from 9 am to 8 pm, more them enough time to do an excursion or two 3rd cruise: Carnival Legend, January 26th - February 2nd, 2014
