Vexorg Posted November 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 14, 2013 (edited) The Emerald Princess sailing i will be on next month will be in Aruba on Koninksrijksdag (Kingdom Day, December 16th) which is a Dutch holiday observed on Aruba, Curacao and Sint Maarten and in the Netherlands. Does anyone know if there will be any impacts from this holiday on the island, such as closed stores? My parents have been in Aruba on Koninginnedag before and reported that pretty much everything was closed, but I'm not sure if this one will have any visible effects. 6rugrats Posted November 15, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2013 This isn't an official holiday, so I would think most stores would be open.
Arubalisa Posted November 16, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2013 I am with 6rugrats. The Aruba Tourism Authority does not even mention it on their website. I am thinking this is an insignificant holiday.
