Tons of BITES after spending day in Grand Turk Margaritaville pool/area

My husband and I spent the day in Grand Turk / Margarittaville on 11/07/2013, we were on the Glory.

 

We have so many bites, all over our bodies. My husband can't take any longer going to Dr. today to see if he can get relief.

 

Has anyone else been bitten ?

 

Also there was a Princess boat in port that day.

We've been there and weren't bitten. However, we'll be there again in Feb. and appreciate the heads-up. I'll be bringing OFF.;)

I have seen a lot of posts about "sand fleas" or something like that in GT. We are also going in Feb. Anyone know any steps so we wont get bit? This is the first stop for our cruise and I dont want to be all itchy!

That's odd...my husband and I were at the pool and ate lunch at Margaritaville in late October and didn't experience any bites. Bugs usually love me but I didn't have any problems.
