Regent website login?

I called them about an hour ago and got no where!

I received absolutely no help!

The rep said he could not transfer me to the technical support section and could not call them either. He said no one else complained to him about it all day!

He said he would send an email to his supervisor to alert him.

I asked if perhaps someone could contact me via email and alert me if that function on the website was having problems. He said no.

I then tried to send an email on the "contact us" link from the website to ask if they were having connectivity problems. When I hit "submit" my comments went no where. They stayed on the screen.

I've been trying to get on to "my account" on and off for the last 8 hours.

Pepc: Since I do not know how to do what DaveFr was kind enough to post, I suppose I just do not have access to my Regent account. I want to cancel an excursion and will call and take care of that. It is disappointing to hear how your issues were not of much concern to Regent!

Same problems this morning!

Thanks for the info.

By the way, I normally use Internet Explorer.

Travelcat2, are you still having problems getting on?

I just tried to get on with Google Chrome and I got on with no problem!

I don't get it. Any ideas, DaveFr?

Thanks!

So, you did get on with Google Chrome? I haven't been able to get on for a couple of weeks but did not really need to. Now I would like to figure it out. My DH's computer is set up completely different than mine. Will try it later today.

I assume you get to the Regent website through a bookmarked link. This is just a wild guess but since you can get to your account using Chrome, maybe the link in Internet Explorer has been corrupted in some way. Try deleting the link and recreating it.

Went on to my DH's computer and was able to log in easily. Then I "Binged" (aka Googled) 'how to clear cache' since I had no clue what that was. When I saw the instructions I realized that I had done this before -- just called it clearing history, temporary files, etc.

Have now signed onto my account and learned that I should be booking dining reservations while I am on a plane going to Singapore:o Guess I'll have to wait until we land.

DaveFr: Thanks for the information.

Pepc: Try clearing your cache again. If anyone is like me and isn't familiar with the term "cache", do the following:

Go to TOOLS

Select INTERNET OPTIONS

Under BROWSING HISTORY click on DELETE

Click OK.

On the next page check three boxes:

Temporary internet files and website files

Cookies and website data

History

Press DELETE

Press OK

Go sign in to your RSSC account. Crossing my fingers:-)

I don't know if I would want to arbitrarily delete all my cookies.

DaveFr,

YOU ARE THE BEST!

Yes, I do use a bookmark for the website.

I typed it in manually and presto - - it worked.

I'm about to create a new bookmark.

Thank you very much.

You're welcome. Glad you got it working. I was running out of ideas. :D

Is there a reason why you wouldn't want to delete your cookies? I was following instructions on another site and have deleted them before.

I have many sites I frequent regularly and saving those cookies gets me right in without constant logging in all the time.

Sure, some sites may use the cookies for marketing purposes, but there's not a whole lot of privacy anywhere.
