Farrlacey Posted November 17, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2013 Where can I purchase wine near FLL port? Is there somewhere within walking distance?
JohninDC Posted November 17, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2013 I would not walk there, but near the port entrance is Total Wine -- you can shop on-line and have your selections ready for pick-up and purchase; just ask your cab driver from FLL to stop there on the way to the port (he will be happy to keep the meter running ). Farrlacey Posted November 17, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted November 17, 2013 We'll be switching ships in FLL port, so will already be in port. Are you suggesting taxi as it's too far or too dangerous to walk from the port?

Rare Keith1010 Posted November 17, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 17, 2013 I also wanted to add that two locations that are fairly close to Port Everglades are: Total Wine & More and Publix Supermarket. They are also both relatively close to one another. Keith
Eng23 Posted November 17, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 17, 2013 (edited) We'll be switching ships in FLL port, so will already be in port. Are you suggesting taxi as it's too far or too dangerous to walk from the port? Take a taxi. Port Everglades is a large facility and not really pedestrian friendly. Total Wine and Publix Supermarket are very close to the port on SE 17th Street. JohninDC Posted November 18, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 18, 2013 Taxi r/t to TW or Publix and back to the port will be about $20.
Tillie43 Posted November 19, 2013 #8 Share Posted November 19, 2013 New here so if this has been covered, my apologies. Is there a limit to how many bottles of wine we can bring in board the Westerdam for cabin consumption? Sailing December 7.

Check your cruiseline documents for official policy and/or head over to the HAL board to get personal experiences. We were able to bring wine on at embarkation as well as at ports of call when we cruised HAL in New England/Canada. in fact we carried on a box of 6 bottles at one port of call with out incident.
