DarthGrady Posted November 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2013 Enchantment of the Seas: It's hard to believe that Enchantment of the Seas has been calling Port Canaveral its home since April, and that during the intervening months I haven't had a chance to sail on her. I had cruised on Monarch several times, so I was excited to finally see her replacement. We picked up our friend Kathy and set out for Port Canaveral around 1130 and made it to the terminal around 130. After a brief visit with Lord Timothy we headed into the terminal. The crowds were light and we were on the ship within about ten minutes. Enchantment at her terminal at PC
DarthGrady Posted November 18, 2013 Author #2 Share Posted November 18, 2013 (edited) After spending ten days on Vision last year Enchantment seemed familiar, aside from the extra features added during her lengthening. She also boasts many freshly refurbished areas. The old Champagne Bar that sat at the bottom of the atrium has been replaced by the elegant and modern R Bar. The Enchantment also has a Boleros lounge between the lobby and the casino which looks like a smaller version of the one on the old Monarch. DarthGrady Posted November 18, 2013 Author #13 Share Posted November 18, 2013 Our cabin was #8547, an interior room on deck 8. It was the same size and configuration as the one we had on the Vision. It had the digital safe, and an attack shower curtain. Our steward Samy was great, and kept it spotless for us.
DarthGrady Posted November 18, 2013 Author #14 Share Posted November 18, 2013 The Enchantment's pool deck also benefited from the stretch, it now features two main pools flanked by four whirlpools and a large video screen. The ship's adults-only Solarium pool area now has the Park Cafe. Park Cafe is a small eatery that was originally an Oasis Class exclusive. It offers assorted sandwiches, salads and beverages. I'd recommend trying their roast beef sandwich, it's very good. The main pool area, the multi colored thing in the foreground is a little spray area for kids to play in The new bridges, Oasis Bar and deck mounted portholes that look down the side of the ship. All added during her lengthening.

Ken at the beach Posted November 19, 2013 #19 Share Posted November 19, 2013 Wonderful pictures. You mentioned that you sailed on Monarch several times. Wondering how you would compare the two. We have sailed on Monarch and Majesty and enjoyed them and have booked the Enchantment for 2015.

Wondering how you would compare the two. We have sailed on Monarch and Majesty and enjoyed them and have booked the Enchantment for 2015. While I'll always miss the old Monarch, there really isn't much comparison between the two. The EN has so many more features than MN did. She has six hot tubs, MN had two. She has a Solarium, Chops, bungee trampolines, regular balcony cabins, Park Café and more. We all kept saying how great it is that RCI has her stationed at PC, she's just a great ship. By all rights she should still be doing longer cruises with her impressive feature list and recent renovations. It seems like cruise lines always put their oldest and smallest doing the short runs. Ander026 Posted November 19, 2013 #25 Share Posted November 19, 2013 Great review of the Enchantment. I am reliving my cruise thru your pics. I was on that same cruise and will post a review later this week, probably on Friday when I am off from work. The Enchantment is a great ship to replace the Monarch. The Enchantment is quickly becoming on of my favorite ships in the fleet after 1 sailing.
