How far out can you book Celebrity Silhouette cruise to Med???

Hi fellow cruisers.

 

Looking at doing our first cruise on the Celebrity Silhouette, hopefully the 12 nighter from Rome to Venice in May/June of 2015. Problem is cruise books in Australia have no listed cruises for then 2015. I'm not sure if this cruise will be even going as apparently there is a hiccup in Venice about large ships visiting in 2015. Tried to speak with consultant with Celebrity and couldn't get any further advanced whether this cruise would be available or not. Just wondering what is the furthiest out you can book and when would this cruise be listed in their brochures???. Keen on getting an earlybird or some sort of promotion.

Here in the U.S the cruises for Europe 2015 will be available for booking during the March/April 2014 time frame. It's hard to say what Celebrity will do with situation in Venice. They may place a Millie class ship on this route.

Celebrity will roll out their 2015 offerings in the spring of 2014. They typically do not have any earlybird special prices. The main advantage to booking early is to have your choice of stateroom. If you wait until later, the price may drop but the most coveted staterooms will be gone.

 

In the US, if prices drop, you may be able to take advantage of the lower cost, but might lose any perks you had when you booked, perks such as included drinks packages or pre-paid gratuities.

 

The situation in Australia might be different, however.

 

As to the situation in Venice, for many years there have been reports that they will no longer allow cruise ships of a certain size, or cruise ships at all, for that matter. You will just have to wait a while longer to see what Celebrity has on offer for 2015.
