Alligator Alley/I-75 traffic

Anyone driven I-75 to Port Everglades in the past 2 weeks? Just curious how the road conditions are, especially on I-595.

I would be interested to know this as well. We will be driving from Punta Gorda over to Dania Beach on Sunday.

We're flying into Punta Gorda instead of MIA or FLL.

I have driven this hundreds of times all different times of the year and traffic is always the same. Never light and never heavy. I have only ever seen cops on the Naples side or the Fort Lauderdale side, never in the middle and don't remember ever seeing a state trooper.

 

It really is a pleasant drive.

We've never seen much traffic. It was closed one night because of brush fires but was open in the morning when we went thru.

 

595 is another story. The construction is a mess. That road should not be considered a freeway. Be very, very careful if it's raining, the lines disappear. It looks like they're going to be opening the new part pretty soon, the signs are up.
