JessieDee Posted December 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2013 I am trying to book a casino rate on my upcoming cruise. I would prefer to book it besides just through the cruise line but I haven't had much luck finding where else I could use the code. Any suggestions? Thanks! JessieDee Posted December 1, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted December 1, 2013 Carnival... as far as I know.
Colorado Kat Posted December 1, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 1, 2013 The cruise line has to contact you for Casino rates. You can't approach them. It's based on how much you gamble.
JessieDee Posted December 1, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted December 1, 2013 They already contacted me and I can book it through the website but there is a code. I was just wondering, if I gave the code to a travel agent, if they would be able to book the same price or if I have to book through the website. Bonnie J. Posted December 1, 2013 #6 Share Posted December 1, 2013 Carnival does not allow any TA or agency to book for less than Carnival's price. A TA cannot offer a price lower than Carnival's but may offer a bottle of wine or small OBC. If you want that price, just book through Carnival. Rare Essiesmom Posted December 1, 2013 #7 Share Posted December 1, 2013 I suspect a travel agent would not want to handle that booking because those rates are usually particularly low (so I have heard) and they would make almost no commission on them. zoncom Posted December 1, 2013 #8 Share Posted December 1, 2013 NCL used to offer this rate through cruiseline only. But you had to prove to them you are REAL gambler, whatever that is.
Sipsey Posted December 2, 2013 #9 Share Posted December 2, 2013 NCL used to offer this rate through cruiseline only. But you had to prove to them you are REAL gambler, whatever that is. Probably someone who has established credit at a known casino in Vegas or other gambling destination, and has a track record of gambling at an acceptable level. Bonnie J. Posted December 2, 2013 #10 Share Posted December 2, 2013 Met a couple who had a free NCL, New Years, 10 day cruise. They were ranked gamblers- didn't know they ranked gamblers. They had a high rank, lived in western NC near the Cherokee reservation casino. They played the slots primarily, one line across. I watched her put $100 bills in the slot machines! They had to spent 70 hours IN the casino so they checked in & out. He won the Texas Holdem tournament and said they won $2600 -but don't know how much winning cost them!
