Nieuw Amsterdam docking at Puerta Maya?

I looked at the Cozumel port schedule for this week and it has the NA at Puerta Maya. I am surprised at this as in the past HAL has docked at the downtown pier. Kinda messes up the plans to just walk to downtown when we are there two weeks from now.

 

Is this their normal docking position now? I guess I better just make plans for either docking position.

lets see if I can explain.....Carnival Corporation owns HAL and Carnivals Puerta Maya has two slots to dock ships, so if on the date your ship is at Cozumel there is only one other Carnival ship at port, HAL ship will take the 2nd slot and will dock at Puerta Maya, but if there are 2 or more Carnival ships, both slots will be occupied so HAL will dock at Punta Langosta downtown pier.

We docked at Maya when we were there on Nieuw Amsterdam. Worked fine for us.
