SweetPease Posted December 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2013 A couple of (hopefully) easy questions. 1) what type of activities are offered on Marina? I know about Casino, Cooking Classes, lectures; have seen something about Trivia? Bridge lessons? 2) packing light, but like to hang clothing when possible. Staying in Concierge level room. Are there plenty of hangers? (Realize closet is smallish.). Can we request extra or should I plan to bring a couple along? Appreciate the help! ruppert18 Posted December 10, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 10, 2013 Daily trivia for sure. I bring wire hangers because ships hangers are bulky and take up a lot of space. You can then leave the hangers in the closet. Another suggestion- I take a plastic hanging shoe bag which I hang in the closet. It is great for storing small items. What cruise are you going on? We are veteran Oceania cruisers. Enjoy. :p
SweetPease Posted December 10, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted December 10, 2013 Thanks ruppert18! This is our first Oceania cruise. Booked on the March 11-26 South Pacific cruise out of New Zealand on Marina. Very excited about it! Any other suggestions you have about anything at all will be appreciated since you are so familiar with Oceania.
orchestrapal Posted December 10, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 10, 2013 Yes there is trivia every day and I have seen bridge classes on the longer cruises but do not know if they are given on the short ones. There are lots of hangers when you arrive but you can get as many more as you need from your room steward. Enjoy your O cruise.

Hawaiidan Posted December 11, 2013 #6 Share Posted December 11, 2013 While sailing for your first "long" cruise I think you are going to be surprised at how fast the time goes. Based on the many ports you will have you are just going to me resting up from the last when you hit the next ! You will not have much time to fill.. Don't let this worry you that your will be desperate to find enough to do or have enough stuff. In the end your going to feel like you were on a slightly extended week long cruise and like a 7 day thirsting for more... In reality I found 14-16 day cruises to be just a slight extension of a 7 day one and that truly after a min of 21 days you really get into the swing of things and the sence of I gott'a and I have too, all disappear . To many" long "doesn't apply till after the 4th week ( 28) Too you may discover that you will want to sail longer and longer because of the more relaxing attitude it fosters . So don't stress... this is only a long cruise if you think it is...Don't psych your self out with worry... sit back and enjoy
