Reenwad Posted December 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2013 So I rented a boat for 4 hours, with a captain, and we can go anywhere we want. We will be leaving from the Georgetown Yacht Club. We do plan on stopping for the stingrays, but what else shall we plan on? Any beautiful, off of the beaten path beaches we should check out? Any awesome restaurants we could dock up at? Best snorkeling spot? Thanks for any help & suggestions!
cb at sea Posted December 14, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2013 (edited) I bet that Captain will have LOADS of ideas! That's what you're paying HIM for! Sounds like a great time! Edited December 14, 2013 by cb at sea

ABQmom Posted February 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 5, 2014 A few years ago we rented a private boat. Took a taxi to the marina, met the captain, and he took us to stingray city, then to starfish beach, and finally for lunch at Rum Point followed by time to enjoy the beach. With his timing we practically had every place we went to ourselves (we were the only ones at starfish beach). We communicated in advance with Captain Neal and decided on our stops with his advice. It was a great day, but a bit pricey. We have been again with the whole family plus friends and went with Soto's Cruises and had a great time, booked with them again for our upcoming cruise. If money was no issue I would do a private charter again...enjoy :)
mrsfuzzmo Posted February 5, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2014 I was going to recommend a stop at Rum Point for a bite or a drink and Starfish Beach as well.
