jetstorm Posted December 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2013 I tried a quick search but didn't find an answer to this question, is there a phone number for someone on land to call the ship if there's an emergency back at home? Would they just call the Princess headquearters and explain the crisis and have hope they would contact the ship? In case it helps, the ship in question would be the Crown Princess. There's no emergency and hopefully won't be but someone in my party needs to know. Thanks.

Within that section is info for when you are onboard the ship. The phone number will be listed there. Have a good cruise!

Steviewonder1 Posted December 14, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 14, 2013 You may find it cheaper to let them call you on your cellphone. The Shore to Ship call is going to cost the caller on the land side in the order of $7.00-9.00 per minute. The cost to call you on your cellphone roaming on the ship's cell station and using the same satellite link is $2.50 - 2.95 per minute whether you make the call or they make the call. In this case you will pay for the minutes used. Texting and/or Emailing is cheaper than calling. Remember that if they call you from home and ring your cabin, you likely will not be in the cabin. They do not do any "Overhead Paging" of passengers on the ship for a call like that. You do have a voice mail port available for missed calls. caribill Posted December 14, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 14, 2013 You may find it cheaper to let them call you on your cellphone. If the purpose of the shore-to-ship call is to let the passenger know of an emergency, then the passenger would have no reason to be calling back home as the passenger would not yet know there is a reason to call.
