Carnival Called

I'm so excited, we got a call from Carnival offering us an upsell. I know it's not the desired upgrade, but we are still super excited and think we got a pretty good deal. We were originally 4 adults in an inside cabin on deck 2 of the Splendor for Jan 20, 2014, and they offered us two cabins on the Empress deck for $240 more. The rooms are next to each other so it is great. We would have been happy if they were just close but next door is a bonus. Can't wait to set sail!!!

Upsell. Good word for it too. I don't know how common this is, but I suppose they are more likely to call the more loyal cruisers. I've only got 5 or so cruises on CCL.

I got a call a couple of years ago offering an Owners Suite at an additional $500/day on a 5-day cruise. We had already fully paid for an obstructed balcony, but the extra space for an elderly father was why we went to the balcony in the first place, so we took it. That was Ecstasy in 2011.

On next month's cruise, I got an email. "...we have an upgrade offer for you. Click here to see it." For $40 (total cost) I got a upped from an inside standard to a 4J. They call it an inside, but it has a window that looks out onto a walkway around the front of the ship. I hope it has good curtains.

Here's to more upgrades. Yeah!

That is awesome. I can NOT imagine 4 adults sharing an inside cabin....I can't imagine 4 adults in any regular sized cabin for that matter.

Congratulations!!!

Good upsell since you'll now have much more room. Worth it for $60 more pp.
